Horror: It moved through to the next room. It sniffed the air, but detected no scent of any delicious kind. It shook with the delight of the thought, of devouring some morsel. It moved on, and found a scent. It followed it, and quickly found the source; a delicious-looking, moving, small little bundle. Not that it knew, but it was about to stain its dark, smelly fur with innocent blood…

It was a dark and stormy night and I was lying there in my bed trying to force my self to sleep, trying to block the noise or the rain and thunder. That’s when I started to notice the sound foot steps coming up the hall way. Then they stopped and I heard my mums door open the terrifying scream made me shutter.

My heart is beating at a hundred miles per hour and my mouth is as dry as the Sahara desert. I look back into the darkness expecting him to be there, right behind me, footsteps thumping. But he isn’t, I have outrun him, for now. It started when I was home alone, listening to my music on full blast and dancing. I heard loud noises so I turned my music down, then nothing. It was fine and I didn’t think anything of it until I see a black figure run past my door. I freak out only thinking the worst. For an hour or so I crouch under my desk, almost knowing I was going to die. I was too scared to get to the phone so instead I just waited, waited for him to find me.

A banging roused me from my deep slumber. I recognised the sound instantly though my thoughts were still blurry with sleep. The tinny banging of the screen door was easy to recognise. It was dark outside. I looked at the time; 2am. No one would be up this early, would they? I walked in to the kitchen, curious. That was when I realised something was wrong.

He wasn’t very nice, but he wasn’t completely evil either. Some people said he only got dangerous when he was really angry. Many of the locals had befriended him, not knowing that in doing so they had dreadfully shortened their lives. And all the other people had deliberately stayed well away from him. Little did they know that they had just made an even bigger mistake.

I crept through the dark caverns. Horrified of what might happen. I could feel movement around me. I could sense the dark evil intentions of the foul beings which were trapping me. It was pitch black and my body was all tense and alert. I almost thought that I was going to pass out when there was a loud crash and the beasts lunged forward into my face.

My morals told me not to be so stupid and call the police but the noise intrigued me. I know somebody had been murdered up there but in the end my curiosity got the better of me and I began to climb the stairs. In a mixture of my nerves tingling and the stairs creaking I forced myself on. After what seemed like an age I reached the top. I wiped the spider’s web from the handle and turned it. I looked in horror of what lay behind the door it was……..

She always has spoken so directly, never sugar coating anything. I begin to walk towards her crib, something does seem different. She would usually keep yelling till I came, I approach her door and look inside. ‘What is Dad doing back here?!’

I stared in horror at the old house. Shutters were falling off, and the garden looked like a jungle. Something about it was just unwelcoming. Like it wanted to be left alone. My front door just closed. I heard it, didn’t I? Maybe mum’s home. I look up at my digital clock, the number’s read 4:26. That’s two hours before mum is supposed to be home. It can’t be her. Horror My body started to shiver as her cold hands touch my soft face. When I was trying to go to sleep I heard one of my brother’s scream and I woke up and went into their room to see what happened. I saw someone standing over one of them with a knife in one hand and wanted to stab my brother’s and I stopped him from doing that. When my mum and dad heard me scream they came running to the bedroom and saw the robber with a knife and the robber went towards my mum and dad. After we had tied the person to a chair we decided to call the police and they took him away in the back of a police car. And we never saw that person again in our home. Vicki

When I finally got away from that sick twisted camp I was running through the dark wet tangled forest, feeling like my heart was about to jump out of my chest, when I suddenly stopped, realising my friend was back at camp, I didn’t know where she was or even if she was still alive….. Emma.b I was still watching a horror movie and after the movie had finished I turned the television off and went to bed after I got into bed I fell asleep and I was having dreams about the movie I was watching and they were really bad dreams and my brother came in and slept with me because he also had bad dreams from the movie I had put on for the family and when it was morning my parents asked me how I slept. It was just a little cat and then a person came up to me and said ”hello there, are you ok”. Then something bade happened……
